I think this meeting worked well for Putin in terms of satisfying his domestic pressures. I mean, Russian media has to dangle something in front of the public to keep it happy, and at least they aren't dangling military incursions at the moment. Hopefully, Biden got something in return aside from satisfying the Western domestic pressures.
I know that some of the cyber attacks were a proxy of the Russian state, but I'm not sure how well the Russian state can contain its highly skilled cybercriminals in the future. Or any nation for that matter. Perhaps, that's what they want to work on.
